Kory Salomone secured preliminary Site Plan and Special Permit approvals for Basis Industrial Acquisitions LLC on the proposed redevelopment of a nearly 5-acre commercial property in the Town of Fishkill, transforming a derelict site with abandoned buildings into a revamped commercial plaza with a 112,000-square-foot self-storage facility, a fast-food restaurant and a car wash. An existing gas station and convenience store would remain on the site.
Proposed improvements also involve reconfiguring driveways, adding parking, new lighting and landscaping. This proposed redevelopment aims to enhance the areas along Route 9D in Fishkill.
The client engaged Zarin & Steinmetz in February 2024 to push this project through the approval process, which had been pending before the Town for almost a year previously. The firm will continue to provide ongoing legal support for this redevelopment project’s future steps, including processing an application before the Fishkill Zoning Board of Appeals for required variances and securing Final Site Plan and Special Permit approvals from the Planning Board.
